Newcastle United right back Javier Manquillo has emerged as a transfer target for three Premier League teams, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The newspaper claims that the Spaniard is being monitored by Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion, with his Magpies contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Steve Bruce and co. now have the dilemma of whether to cash in on the 25-year-old, who is on a reported £35,000-per-week [Source: Spotrac], in January or not.

The Manquillo situation is a bit of a weird one for Newcastle. Bruce has put him in the team recently and he’s done pretty well. There’s little arguing that he is the most solid of any of the team’s right wing backs. DeAndre Yedlin and, perhaps, Emil Krafth may be slightly better going forward, but they don’t provide the defensive stability that the former Atletico Madrid man does. Perhaps that’s why he slips under the radar somewhat. The statistics show that the Spaniard is providing very solid, if not spectacular, performances for the Magpies. As per WhoScored.com, he is averaging 1.4 tackles, one interception and 1.8 clearances per game. His display against Sheffield United earlier this month, in particular, was excellent. Perhaps he could be sold in January if Newcastle need the money to buy someone else. However, you’d have to say that it would be very harsh if he wasn’t handed a contract extension at St James’ Park.
