Players Have Their Say On Social Media After Two Consecutive Wins

Newcastle came through after a shaky start yesterday at St James Park. The lads claimed our fourth win of the season just before the break. It launched us to 11th in the table only 2 points behind 5th place Sheffield United.

Unfortunately, we are 10 points away from the Champions League positions at the moment. But we’ll just give Steve Bruce and the lads another couple of games to close that gap. 🙂

What was different about this win from the others was that the players fought back from an early Bournemouth goal to get the three points. It was a magnificent turn-around after a poor first 25 minutes.

There were so many players who stood out yesterday in what was a terrific team effort. Newcastle again looked a threat going forward and had some heroic performances defensively. It was an excellent all-around performance for the second straight week.

Now there is still the glaring issue with our finishing. This time Joelinton joined Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron in squandering clear cut chances. The positive is that they are getting closer and closer, but we really should have scored more than just the two goals.

However, it’s three points and two consecutive wins right before the break. We are very pleased with that and here’s what some of the players had so say:

DeAndre Yedlin posted his response to a video comparing his fantastic header to some rather comical aerial exploits.
