Newcastle have come out of another international break unscathed. Our internationals have not suffered any problems with fitness while away that we know of.
With only Matt Ritchie and Florian Lejeune likely to be unavailable for selection, Bruce will have almost the full squad available to him for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
We are currently outside the relegation zone in 16th place. Though can easily find ourselves back there with a loss and if other results don’t go our way.
The lads will hopefully be able to channel the momentum and emotion from two weeks when Matty Longstaff’s goal sank Manchester United.
After the last international break, the performances dipped, and that cannot happen this time. We need to see the lads show up on Saturday and give this talented Chelsea team a fight.
Chelsea are on a run of four straight wins in all competitions and seem to be gelling under manager Frank Lampard. They are a side dependent on youth with striker Tammy Abraham and midfielder Mason Mount fast becoming Premier League stars.
They did not have the same luck during the international break as French midfielder N’Golo Kante and Danish center-back Andreas Christiansen both picked up injuries while away.
Chelsea will want to build upon their promising start to this season which has them in fifth place.
While it will be a big ask, we have faith Newcastle can come away with a result at Stamford Bridge.
