Newcastle fans sang their hearts out this evening in support of the team. It’s just unfortunate that they had to witness in person one of the most unforgivable performances in a long time.
Here is an apology from captain Jamaal Lascelles to all of the Newcastle fans who travelled to the game or watch it on television.
?? “I want to apologise to all the fans that have travelled and the fans that have watched it at home.”
Captain Jamaal Lascelles fronted up after today’s defeat at @LCFC.

Newcastle fans were on another level this evening at the King Power Stadium. They out sang Leicester fans even when down by 4 and 5 goals. We noticed at home on the television that all you could hear were Newcastle fans in the beginning. The fans kept it up through the entirety of the abysmal match they had to watch.
Here are some tweets for both Newcastle fans and other fans praising the away support today.
Those fans were brilliant today. I’ve never seen Newcastle be so shit before, but, them fans gave everything!

Ashley has never understood or given a damn about #nufc. To him, it’s just another Dunlop or Everlast. Something you pick up on the cheap, suck as much value out of as possible & dump when the price is right. One day these fans will get what they deserve: pic.twitter.com/lEgzmrn7GL

4-0 down
Pissing down with rain
4.30pm kick off on a Sunday
In the bottom threeThe fans deserve much, much more than that shower of shite! #nufc #lcfc pic.twitter.com/pQmHraOGvf

#NUFC fans out sang Leicester all game pretty much, even when Leicester scored. Relentless chant for last 25 mins. Situation reminds me of AVFC 2015/16. Impressive from the toon army faithful mind.

At 5-0 the fans still sang. Shame the players couldn’t mirror them in their performance. #NUFC pic.twitter.com/pRWMQfDjuy

4-0 down the Newcastle fans are absolutely brilliant still ? Mike Ashley you don’t know what you have ! #LeiNew@MagpieChannel_ @TrueGeordieTG pic.twitter.com/Mx3LKwi4Tv

5-0 down and all you could hear was the Toon fans singing their hearts out. Every Newcastle player on that pitch today was an utter disgrace. Fans deserve better. #NUFC

The game was absolutely shite, but the support was class again; didn’t stop singing once for the last 30 minutes, completely outsung 30k Leicester fans #NUFC

4-0 down with plenty of time to go, a man sent off, in the bottom three with a deeply unpopular manager in charge and all you can hear is the Newcastle fans at the King Power.
That’s why I’ll always respect their fan-base. It’s not easy to back players in those circumstances.

Newcastle fans have been fantastic today. 4-0 5-0 up and singing for their team. Hope you get rid of that clown in charge absolute credit to your team ?? #NUFC #lcfc

That Lacelles interview on @SkySportsPL was horrible to watch. He was so dejected and it looked like he’s broken. Horrible time for #NUFC nice to hear the away fans singing like we’d won 5-0 though!!

Got to be proud of @NUFC fans. Even when their side lost 5-0 to @LCFC they’re showing their players lots of appreciation. #LEINEW pic.twitter.com/hbOztMJsBE

#LEINEW 4-0 up at home yet all you can hear is the Toon fans singing non-stop. The football, the tactics, the management, the defending, the individual performances all utterly shit but quality from the fans ?
— Mark Richardson (@richardson_45) September 29, 2019
Can you hear the Leicester sing? No, no! 4-0 down and all you can hear is the #Newcastle fans. Absolute class. ????????#nufc #LEINEW pic.twitter.com/XoM5gsghUd
