The results are in and goal scorer Jetro Willems has been voted as the best player in our reader’s poll. Jetro claimed 280 of the 999 total votes for 28%. It was neck and neck for a little while between Jetro and local lad Paul Dummett. However, Jetro pulled away in the end and has been voted as the outstanding performer.
Paul Dummett did get a respectable 22% of the vote in the end while Mr. Consistency Isaac Hayden came in third with 11%.
All three of the players put in solid performances but it was that goal in the 8th minute that likely pushed Willems into victory. What a goal it was with his weaker foot no less.
?? Wat een knal van @JetroWillems_15! Helaas voor hem en @NUFC hield @LFC de punten uiteindelijk vrij eenvoudig in eigen huis.
Maar wát een goal… ? pic.twitter.com/cw3LaJk00u

Jetro has done outstanding since coming into the side for Matt Ritchie. While he did tire a bit in the end, he was involved all afternoon and should continue to improve. This what Steve Bruce said about the Dutchman and his goal after the game:
“Jetro will remember it. I’m delighted for him. The more he works and more he plays with intensity the better.”
