News: So called expert offers his unwelcome opinion on Newcastle

Danny Mills loves to talk about Newcastle United, doesn’t he?

If he is not calling Newcastle fans unrealistic or too demanding, then he is slagging off Newcastle’s signings.

He said that Miguel Almiron would be a bad signing because “He has never heard of him.”

Just pure laziness from a man who had a pretty average playing career and now consistently makes a fool of himself in the media.

His latest claim is that Newcastle will be in for a “Long hard season.”

He believes that the Toon will not score enough goals and that he is worried about them.

The Toon finished August in 14th place, and after two defeats from two they picked up four points from their next two matches.

The thing with Newcastle is that a lot of people wrote them off when Rafael Benitez left, but the mass exodus that was expected didn’t happen, and the players are behind Steve Bruce.

He may not be Benitez, but he clearly has a plan of what he wants his side to do, and in the win over Tottenham Hotspur, Bruce set his side up perfectly, and if the Toon play on the counter-attack, they have the pace to trouble teams.

I think that Newcastle will stay up and they may well be in a relegation battle, but ultimately, they should have too much to go down.

Mills’ comments are therefore wide of the mark, and they are just another example of a pundit who does not do their research.
