England have defeated Kosovo 5-3 this evening to make it four wins from four in Group A of the 2020 Euro Qualifiers. While England were never really in peril of losing, they came up against a Kosovo side who were up for the match.
Some England and Newcastle fans alike were wondering if Declan Rice was the best choice for the midfield after tonight’s performance. Earlier this week, Isaac Hayden had spoken about how his path was blocked by Rice and Jordan Henderson.
However, it was another name who many fans were mentioning as a possible option for the England midfield. While he is still getting back to his best, Sean Longstaff was getting some recognition for a possible call-up.

Rice isn’t good enough on the ball to control a game. Longstaff is worth keeping an eye on. Foden and Mount will out Barclay out of the team soon enough. Gomez in for Keane.
