Mo Sangare came on as a 75th minute substitute for Liberia in their World Cup Qualifying match against Sierra Leone. The score was knotted at one apiece when in the 82nd minute Sam Johnson was brought down in the box. Sangare got the call to take the penalty and coolly slotted it into the left corner. This was Mo’s first goal for Liberia. The two nations meet again on Sunday in the second leg at Sierra Leone.

Miguel Almrion played the full ninety minutes in Paraguay’s international friendly at Japan. Yoshinori Muto was not part of Japan’s squad. In a poor performance, Almiron and Paraguay lost 2-0. They will next face Jordan on Tuesday in another friendly. Let’s hope Miggy sits that one out.
