Christian Atsu has won the Man of the Match poll as our best player against Watford. It was a close race between Atsu and Fabian Schar as they combined for over 50% of the total votes.
Our readers cast 331 of the total 1,207 votes for Christian while Fabian received 301 votes. Jetro Willems also did well in the poll receiving 250 votes.
Christian ended last season in fine form, and despite having his entire pre-season interrupted through injury, he has picked up where he left off. In fact, he may be playing even better.
He has been superb in his two Premier League appearances this season and must be seen as a bonus for Steve Bruce. With new signing Allan Saint-Maximin out for at least three more weeks, Atsu has stepped in and been outstanding.
Fabian Schar scored a great goal at an opportune time and also has put in two straight stellar performances in the league.
Jetro Willems made his first start in the league and provided a dangerous threat down the left. He will continue to get opportunities to impress as Matt Ritchie will be out for the next two months.
