Newcastle are back to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon as they face winless Watford at St James Park. A win could see the team climb up the standings as currently, only 1 point separates 19th place Newcastle and 4th place Manchester United.
This is a big one for Steve Bruce who will want some positivity going into next week’s international break. Six points from his first four matches would be considered a good start. Especially considering that we lost the first two matches.
Steve Bruce – more scenes like this on Saturday
There is every reason to believe the lads can put in a third good performance in a row. We would expect Bruce to use the same formation he used at Tottenham and in the mid-week cup loss to Leicester City.
However, they must keep focused and disciplined. Watford manager Javi Garcia is under a lot of pressure having lost his last six Premier League matches going to the end of last season.
It doesn’t get any easier for The Hornets as after the break they are at home to Arsenal and away to Champions Manchester City. They will be looking to snap their losing streak at St James Park on Saturday.
