Emil Krafth was interviewed by BBC Newcastle yesterday, and Matthew Raisbeck has tweeted some of that interview.
“I know people were disappointed in our performance (at Norwich) and I can understand that because we didn’t play good. But, now we showed them how good we can be.”

We suppose it is good that Emil does not read the newspapers after a game. Though this week will have been much better reading for Newcastle fans and players alike.
Krafth struggled against Norwich, but he was not helped by a weak performance by the entire team. It was a terrible game for Emil to make his debut in. He seems to be a grounded individual, and like the whole team, put in a much-improved performance at Tottenham.
Emil seems to have cemented a first-team place at right-back currently as he has started the last two games. This must mean that he looks very impressive in training.
Krafth will still be getting acclimated to the team, and for him to have played so well in just his second start really bodes well going forward. He will have to continue to put in performances as Javier Manquillo played very well in pre-season and when he replaced DeAndre Yedlin last season.
DeAndre is still out after undergoing groin surgery in May. Having him back will provide some more competition for both Emil and Javier. Three players vying for that right-back spot will only bring out the best in all three players.
