For the second week running, Isaac Hayden has been voted as the best player in our man of the match poll. Of the 777 votes, Isaac collected 326 for 42% of the total votes. That was the same percentage that Isaac had in the poll for the Arsenal match.
Isaac has grown leaps and bounds since he secured a first-team place in the boxing day match last year at Liverpool. He now has a string of 22 straight starts in the league going back to that game.
Hayden has also taken the mantle as one of the leaders of the club and the 24-year-old has shown his maturity this summer. While he was able to do some good things over the weekend, Isaac has still expressed his disappointment in the overall performance at Norwich.
This is what Isaac has said after the game:
“It was poor.
“We were all over the place, defensively as a team.
“It is difficult after a game, looking back at things that could have been different but we were just miles off it.
“We didn’t get going or come alive until the last 15 minutes but by then the game was already done.
“I am disappointed and can’t really put my finger on where things went wrong.
“But there was quite a lot that went wrong.”
It was certainly everything Isaac has said it was. We hope Steve Bruce and the players can figure it out this week before the Tottenham game on Sunday.
