Loan Move Confirmed For Young Striker

Newcastle United have announced that 19-year-old striker will join Carlisle United on a season-long loan deal.

This is a big opportunity for Elias to continue his development. He scored 20 goals for the U-23s last term and this move for senior level football will be the next step in his growth.

Carlisle United have also confirmed the signing of the young Danish U-21 international. They sent out a little bit of a teaser beforehand as well.

This is what Carlisle manager Steven Pressley has said about his new striker:

“We’re delighted that we’ve got this over line. He was a main target, then he dropped off the radar, but it came alive again last week and we’ve managed to see it through.

“He can play as the number 9, or he can play tucked in close to the 9 and just off to the side. That’s not as a wide player, but tucked in tight and ready to react.

“He’s very mobile and quick and he scores goals. He hasn’t done that at League Two level yet, but that’s his next challenge.

“I think he’s a player the fans can get excited about and we’re looking forward to working with him.”
