Moussa Sissako has a 4-year contract offer on the table from both clubs and will now have to decide where he would like go. This would be a bit of a blow if we fail to land this talented centre-back.
Apparently, our targets are not starved of choice in deciding their futures. This is the third reported target who will decide between Newcastle and another club within the next few days.
While Sissako will be one for the academy, both Thiago Maia and Youssouf Sabaly will also be deciding between Newcastle and another club. We have to admit we will feel a little bit slighted if none of these players decide to come to NUFC.
Maia has been a long-term target of Newcastle as they tried to bring him in from Lille on loan last summer. He has a permanent offer on the table from Serie A club Genoa while the offer from Newcastle is, at least initially, just a loan deal.
Bordeaux have reportedly accepted bids from both Watford and Newcastle for their right-back Youssouf Sabaly. This one came out of the blue yesterday and those often are the deals that get done.
Sabaly would be a great addition at right wing-back and we really hope this one can get done. With a bit of luck, maybe all three of these players will be at Newcastle over the next few days and holding up the shirt.
