Right-back Emil Krafth is begging Amiens to let him join Newcastle United in a £5million deal this week, according to the Sun.
The newspaper claimed via their live transfer blog on Tuesday afternoon that Krafth, 24, is frustrated by Amiens constantly raising their valuation of him amid interest from the Magpies.
It is understood that the Sweden international will seek a meeting with the Ligue 1 club’s top brass in order to try and get his move to the Premier League before the transfer window slams shut at 5pm on Thursday.
It is good for Newcastle that Krafth is desperate to join them this summer because it’s never a great sign when a player isn’t keen on signing. Steve Bruce needs a new right-back or two to be an upgrade on his current options of Javier Manquillo and DeAndre Yedlin, although it is worth noting that Manquillo has been in decent form for the Tyneside club during pre-season friendlies.
