The Chronicle reported on Sunday that Newcastle United right back Javier Manquillo could still be sent out on loan this summer, presumably if a deal for Ameins right back Emil Krafth, who their report mentions, can be completed. However, it’s news that has raised the ire of the Magpies supporters, who are clearly raging at the prospect of the Spaniard leaving the club, even if it is only on a temporary basis. The funny thing is, the former Atletico Madrid man has been one of the team’s best players throughout the course of this most turbulent of pre seasons. The 25-year-old appears to be perpetually underrated on Tyneside, but it’s no coincidence that he won the starting right wing back slot from DeAndre Yedlin towards the back end of last season under former manager Rafael Benitez. To go from that to him being shipped out on loan would be a bizarre and senseless fall from grace. Manquillo isn’t the best player but he’s a solid Premier League operator who always gives 100%. Why on earth, then, is he being considered for an exit?!
