The Telegraph have a report out that Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has failed to impress new manager Frank Lampard and will be made available this summer.
Newcastle were said to be monitoring the French international towards the end of last season when he was on loan at AC Milan.
Milan did not take up their £31M option to buy Bakayoko even though he made over 40 appearances for the club. He returned to Chelsea this summer to fight for his place under Lampard.
However, it is now being reported that Chelsea will listen to any loan offers or permanent deals for the midfielder. We are not sure if Newcastle still hold interest in the defensive midfielder. With Isaac Hayden set to stay at the club, we are not as desperate for reinforcements in that area as we were in May.
A loan deal could be a decent option for Newcastle as we did lose Mohamed Diame this summer, however Chelsea would have to absorb a significant portion of his near £100k/per week wages.
