The Daily Star are reporting that Vasco da Gama’s 20-year-old forward could be bought for just £11m.
It was reported a few days ago, that Newcastle’s head of recruitment Steve Nickson had been tracking the young Brazilian and rates him highly.
The news then was that he had a £35m release cause inserted in the new contract that he had just signed in February. However, Aaron Stokes with the Daily Star is reporting that due to financial trouble, Vasco da Gama are willing to part with Marrony for less than a third of the release fee.

This would be a very decent signing for Newcastle and also could be good for Joelinton to have a compatriot at Newcastle. He would be one for the future though could probably make a few appearances this year if Newcastle were to purchase him.
He can play on either wing or up front but is usually deployed on the right. These are the types of deals that clubs with sound future planning make. He could turn into a world-beater and in today’s market £11m is not an outrageous fee to pay for a player with this much potential.
