Having two strikers upfront with Ritchie and Sterry out wide worked very well as Newcastle had the best chances.
Jonjo Shelvey released Hayden down the right with a beautiful pass in the 8th minute. Hayden’s subsequent cross led to an excellent chance for Elias Sorensen who skied the ball over the net.
Chance! @EliasFritjof starts & gets a chance within 8 minutes. Great move & great cross from @IsaacHayden65. Sorensen slides in at the far post and guides it just over the bar. So close for the young Dane. #nufc pic.twitter.com/yrjd71WMUf

It was a disappointing miss for the youngster who should have done better with the chance.
The 25-minute mark brought another prescheduled water break but it was back to Newcastle controlling the game.
Yoshinori Muto got Newcastle on the board with an excellent finish in the 33rd minute. The delivery from Jamie Sterry was very good.

This was a lively display from the lads who looked much improved from the last match against Wolves.
